Description: | Guided Nature Walk for Families Cooper Mountain Nature Park with Naturalist Elaine Murphy Wrap up Spring Term with a Nature Walk! Meant for families with littles (older siblings welcome, too), this walk is part of a series of monthly guided walks in area parks, alternating between the East & West sides. Elaine leads walks for littles (and older kids and adults) throughout the area, and brings along a great backpack full of bug boxes, specimens, and more. Cooper Mountain Nature Park is between Beaverton, Hillsboro and Sherwood. It is the site of intensive rehabilitation by the Parks & Rec department to restore the natural habitat. The Park features woods, meadows, beautiful vistas to south and a cool nature playground including a sandpit, climbing area and wagon. When: Monday, June 1 at 10am. One hour. Where: Cooper Mountain Nature Park. 18895 SW Kemmer Rd., Beaverton. Free parking lot by trailhead and playground. Restrooms on site. Who: All ages, best suited for littles. $5 per child, parents free (please register everyone). Dress for the weather, bring a snack if you like. We need a minimum of 10 kids to cover costs. |
