Waitlisted classes are those that have reached capacity. The registration system automatically maintains waitlists for full classes. To be placed on the wait list, add the class to your cart and check out as usual. You are not charged for the class if you are waitlisted, and you can remove yourself from the waitlist at any time by clicking the trash can icon in front of the class and completing the check out process.
Yes, you may. However, do not delay check-out to look for alternative classes. Your waitlist spot will not be saved until you check out. After you check-out, you can go back and add more classes.
When you are notified that a space is available for you in a waitlisted class, just ask the office to drop the class you had chosen as a replacement. There is no charge to drop a class for this reason.
The office will contact you by phone or by email to let you know. Please reply promptly, as there may be others below you on the list who are also waiting to hear.
During and immediately following registration week there is a flurry of activity as we try to adjust the schedule to accommodate waitlists. Many spots open on waitlists during the first two weeks of classes, as people adjust their schedules.

We try to accommodate waitlists using a variety of methods. Some classes can handle a slight capacity increase, and some cannot. When feasible, we do try to offer additional sessions of very full classes. You will be contacted by the office if you are waitlisted for a class that will have a new additional session.
